Food Not Bombs - Augusta Chapter

Food Not Bombs is a global, all-volunteer organization dedicated to non-violent social change.There is no formal leadership and everyone is encouraged to come to a consensus in the decision making process. Each chapter, or group, collects food that would otherwise be thrown out and cooks up hot vegetarian meals which then are served (for free) to anyone and everyone on the street that is hungry. Food Not Bombs is organizing for peace and an end to the occupations of Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine. For over 25 years the movement has worked to end hunger and has supported actions to stop the globalization of the economy, restrictions to the movements of people, end exploitation and the destruction of the earth. We will be scheduling our first meeting, which will be a planning/introductor y meeting soon.

This meeting will continue on trying to get more people involved. April 19th was our 1st meeting and only 2 of us were able to make it.
Also, discussions on how Augusta FNBs will function, incorporate new ideas, and so on.
This is still a building block meeting.
